Posting work daily seems like a good way of keeping myself honest as an artist, even if I'm posting a work in progress, it is still progress, and will hopfully keep me from procrastination. I have no formal training as an artist, painting and drawing have just always been a part of my life, even in my earliest memories or since i've been able to hold a pencil/brush. It is just in my blood. I prefer to work in watercolor, I can't explain why, it just thrills me and I fall in love everytime. I have worked in acrylic quite a bit for commissioned portraits and murals, and find that I have a lot to learn from oil, so I am trying to dicipline myself to use it more often. I was inspired to blog after visiting Karen Jurick's blog, she really helped remind me how important it is to paint daily, and how much we learn with every painting. So here goes...
